2014 FotoEvidence Book Award Exhibit and Book Launch

Opening reception: October 16, 2014, 6.00-8.30 p.m. Bronx Documentary Center, 614 Courtlandt Ave, Bronx, NY 10451

Life in War is the fruit of the FotoEvidence Book Award. The annual Book Award is given each year to a photographer whose work demonstrates courage and commitment in documenting social injustice and violations of human rights. This year's exhibit is supported by The Grodzins Fund and individual supporters of FotoEvidence.

The 2014 FotoEvidence Book Award show includes the work of the winner Majid Saeedi and finalists Tanya Habjouqa- Occupied Pleasures; Fernando Moleres- Breaking the Circle; Valerio Bispuri- Encerrados-Travel to South American Jails and Joao Pina- Shadow of the Condor.

Robin Hammond, winner of the 2013 FotoEvidence Book Award will be signing his book Condemned.

Condemned is the fruit of the FotoEvidence Book Award. The annual Book Award is given each year to a photographer whose work demonstrates courage and commitment in documenting social injustice and violations of human rights. This year's exhibit is supported by The Grodzins Fund and individual supporters of FotoEvidence.

The 2013 FotoEvidence Book Award show includes the work of the winner Robin Hammond and finalists Andrea Reese- Urban Cave; Fabio Bucciarelli- Battle to Death; Jon Lowenstein- Shadow Lives USA and Massimo Berruti- The Dusty Path.

The annual Book Award is given each year to a photographer whose work demonstrates courage and commitment in documenting social injustice and violations of human rights. This year's exhibit is supported by The Grodzins Fund, the Puffin Foundation and individual supporters of FotoEvidence.
The 2012 FotoEvidence Book Award show includes the work of the winner Alex Masi and finalists Michelle Frankfurter, Maxim Dondyuk, Lisa Wiltse and Vlad Sokhin.




Noorderlicht Photo Gallery

14 April through 20 May, 2012

The Noorderlicht Photo Gallery pays homage to documentary photography with an exhibition of recent winners and nominees in three photography competitions that have social consciousness-raising as their mission: the Prix Pictet, the FotoEvidence Book Award and the AnthropoGraphia Award for Human Rights.
The diverse work of the 2011 FotoEvidence Book Award winner Javier Arcenillas and finalists Paula Bronstein, Lizzie Sadin, Majid Saeedi, William Daniels and Boniface Mwangi can be seen in the Noorderlicht Photo Gallery from 14 April through 20 May, 2012.
